This article explains how to cleanly remove AdBlock360 from your Windows PC — and what to consider before and after.
Before You Uninstall
Before removing AdBlock360, keep the following in mind:
- Active subscription? Uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription. If you also want to end your subscription, cancel it before or after uninstalling via Cancelling Your Subscription.
- Plan to use your license on another device? If you want to activate AdBlock360 on a different PC later and your device limit is reached, deactivate the current device in the account portal first — see Deactivating a Device.
- Delete your account? Uninstalling does not delete your AdBlock360 account. To remove the account entirely, see Deleting Your Account.
How to Uninstall AdBlock360
Via Windows Settings
- Open Windows Settings → Apps (or Add or remove programs on older Windows versions).
- Locate AdBlock360 in the list.
- Click it and select Uninstall.
- Follow the prompts in the uninstaller.
What Gets Removed
- The AdBlock360 app (the in-page AdBlock360 Manager is part of the app and goes away with it)
- The locally installed network filter and its associated system certificate
- Local app settings and maintained filter lists
What Stays
- Your AdBlock360 account record (email, license key, billing history) — remains on our servers as long as your account exists.
- Your license key — stays valid and can be activated on a new installation at any time.
Removing the Browser Assistant Separately
If you also installed the optional AdBlock360 Browser Assistant (the Chrome extension), it is not automatically removed with the app. To remove it in Chrome: three-dot menu → Extensions → Manage Extensions → find AdBlock360 Browser Assistant → Remove.
Reinstalling AdBlock360 Later
You can reinstall AdBlock360 at any time — follow the instructions in Installation & System Requirements. After installing, activate your existing license as described in Entering & Activating Your License Key.
Trouble Uninstalling?
If the uninstall fails or leaves residue:
- Restart your PC and try again.
- Make sure the AdBlock360 app is fully closed (right-click the tray icon and choose Quit).
- If the problem persists, contact our support team and describe at which step the uninstall stops.
